Shinra and Ikaruga fighting the World | Stage 1 | Target: Eboshidori

September 8, 2011  |  IKARUGA

Ikaruga is not in the hearts of the bullet-hell-category shumps lovers. They say ‘it’s too easy’. They love the likes of Mushihime-sama and other Cave (excellent) productions. I can understand this fact, but after havin’ played them all it’s Ikaruga the one I still remember with love. For many reasons. It’s a three-men-core-team production. Three people with a bunch of coders created a perfect game, deep as the ninth circle of hell, with a fantastic, epic soundtrack and smooth action. Yes, the screen is not filled with bullets as with aforementioned Cave shooters but the aesthetics of this one are staggering and still modern to date. All the five stages of this game have already been photographed and the game will be fully portraied here on EBS before the end of the year. This photo-set is my only one featuring Ginkei, the second-player ship.
