If you ever wondered why there are so scarce images on the internet about the 7th Colossus Hydrus, the answer is simple: it’s bloody hard to take decent pictures of it. Half of the time is spent underwater with the HUD always on screen, the other half is spent running on a long hairy dragon with the camera having huge difficulties to focus on any detail, so I tried to play with some underwater pictures of Wanda to inject some variety in the whole photo-set. With my last update dated January 2012 I was finally able to post some good stuff. With my old sets I was forced in the 1920×1080 canon. It means that sometimes I had to remove the HUD on screen via photoshop while keeping ratio and size. A bloody hard work. Now, with this last issue, I freed myself of this mental barrier, and so I could use some old stuff and cut it in a panoramic or 16:9 or 1:1 size, being finally able to produce some good pics. Even if, of course, they are no more ‘wallpapers’ as usually intended with specific sizes. This set has been created via PCSX2 Emulator running at 1920×1080, Ps2 textures rendering x4, Hardware Antialiasing x1, OFFSET HACK enabled to remove some shading issues, ELIOTCOUGAR’S HACK enabled to remove the disturbing Team Ico’s signature-bloom. Last update: January 2012.

Man, I can definitely understand how hard it would be to get pictures of Hydrus! The ones you do have though are beautiful!! When I played through the SotC on the PS3, I remember seeing Hydrus and thinking how beautiful it was.
Woah, those were beautiful. Didn’t know you could see the bridge from there. That’s awesome
