Phalanx, the 13th Colossus, is beautiful in aesthetics and gameplay as well. It’s just a little boring if you can’t kill him at your first attempt, and you probably won’t, but for anything else is one of the most beautiful and unusual between the colossi. Furthermore, I’d bet 25€ that this Colossus is a homage to Sega’s Panzer Dragoon games because its face is very, very similar to Team Andromeda’s plasma-firing dragons. This set has been created via PCSX2 Emulator running at 1920×1080, Ps2 textures rendering x4, Hardware Antialiasing x1, OFFSET HACK enabled to remove some shading issues, ELIOTCOUGAR’S HACK enabled to remove the disturbing Team Ico’s signature-bloom. Last update: January 2012.

I beat the colossi leaving Agro stuck between the rocks inside the cave of the second colossi and then I started walking toward the desert.
I kept waiting and seeing where it went to then defeat without the aid of the horse.
Try it.
I suppose beating Phalanx that way is really tough. Since I like Agro and the relationship with Wanda, I can’t see Wanda walking alone without ‘him’. There are certain places where Agro is not allowed, and it’s okai to me, but when it’s allowed, it must be there for the fight
My favourite colossus. I love your entire collection, but Phalanx really is stunning!
I agree with you that the face holds a striking resemblance with the Panzer Dragoons; I’ve thought the same ever since I first fought ‘him’ back on the PS2. Seeing your photos is also the first instance where I’ve noticed the ‘third eye’ – brilliant. It makes me realise after all this time that there’s still more to discover about these beautiful beasts.
Thank you so much for all your hard work.
I have to thank you for your time and will to share your opinions! I still have to update the last three colossi with my new “enhancement tecnique”. I can make those picuters look more smooth and brighter. With some new cuts. Come back in some weeks and you might find some surprises. Thanks again! Ciao
